Deconstruction building area 11

Project description

The entire construction area 11, consisting of the ward tower, the entrance wing, the polyclinic wing 1 and the Sahli buildings 1 + 2 with a total volume of over 234,000 m3, is to be completely dismantled. The protection of the media ducts and basements to be left in place, requires complex reinforcement measures. As a "construction site within a construction site" in the middle of the construction area, the head section of the Sahlihaus 1 with the extremely vibration-sensitive neuroangiology equipment must be left in place and renovated. The inner-city conditions with a large number of surrounding existing buildings with ongoing hospital services, require not only vibration-, noise- and dust minimised demolition methods, but also a trouble-free demolition operation to maintain the diverse, functional and partly very sensitive traffic relationships.
